GitLab

Connect Clearly AI to GitLab.

Overview

Connect GitLab to Clearly AI so Clearly AI can use your repositories as project context and review the code in those repositories.

The GitLab integration uses Personal Token authentication.

For background on authentication choices across integrations, see Integrations.

Instructions

Prerequisites

  • A Clearly AI account with access to the Integrations page
  • A GitLab account that can access the repositories you want Clearly AI to review
  • A GitLab personal access token with access to the repositories Clearly AI should read

Open the GitLab integration

In Clearly AI, go to Integrations and select GitLab from the list of enabled integrations. The GitLab configuration panel opens.

Enter the GitLab instance URL

If you use GitLab.com, leave Instance URL empty.

If you use a self-managed GitLab instance, enter the base URL for that instance, such as https://gitlab.example.com.

Enter your personal token

In Personal Key, paste your GitLab personal access token.

Apply and test

Click Apply & Test to save the configuration and verify the connection.

GitLab integration configured for Personal Token authentication

Use the connection in Clearly AI

After the test succeeds, the GitLab connection is available for Clearly AI projects that need repository context. The repositories and code Clearly AI can review depend on the access granted to your token.
