Google Drive
Connect Clearly AI to Google Drive.
Overview
Clearly AI connects to Google Drive using OAuth so you can authorize access to your Google Drive account. Once connected, Clearly AI can read files and folders you choose to include in your project context. The connection is stored per user or per organization, depending on the scope you select.
Instructions
Prerequisites
- A Clearly AI account with access to the Integrations page
- A Google account with access to the Drive you want to connect
- Admin access if you plan to use an organization-wide connection
Open the Google Drive integration
In Clearly AI, go to Integrations and select Google Drive from the list of enabled integrations. The Google Drive configuration panel opens.
Choose the connection scope
On the Integrations page, choose Personal (User) or Shared (Workspace) before you connect:
- Personal (User) – Only you can use this connection. Choose this for personal drives or when you are the sole user of the integration.
- Shared (Workspace) – Anyone in your organization can use this connection. Choose this when the integration should be available to your team.
| Scope | When to use |
|---|---|
| Personal (User) | You are the only person who will use the Google Drive integration, or you are connecting a personal drive. |
| Shared (Workspace) | Multiple team members need to use the same Google Drive connection. The connection is shared across your organization. |
You can add a separate connection under each tab later. If you switch from personal to shared scope, existing users may need to re-authorize depending on your setup.
Authorize Clearly AI
Click Connect with Google Drive. A new window or tab opens where Google asks you to authorize Clearly AI to access your Drive. Sign in to Google if prompted, then approve the requested permissions.

Apply and test
Click Apply & Test to save the configuration and verify the connection. The connection is now available for use in your projects.
