Members and roles
Manage who can access Clearly AI and who can administer the organization.
Members are managed at the organization level.
In Clearly AI, go to Settings > Organization > General and open Team Members. This opens the hosted organization member management page.
Common roles
| Role | Typical use |
|---|---|
| Owner | Accountable for the Clearly AI rollout and long-term administration |
| Admin | Helps manage organization setup, integrations, review templates, workflows, and model settings |
| Member | Creates projects, adds sources, runs reviews, uses Chat, and reads results |
Some organizations also use limited Submitter or ChatOnly roles for intake or narrower access patterns. Clearly AI configures those during onboarding when they apply.

Add a member
- Open Settings > Organization > General.
- Click Team Members.
- Invite the user by email.
- Assign the right role.
If your organization uses SCIM, add and remove users in your identity provider instead of inviting them manually.
Change a role
- Open Settings > Organization > General.
- Click Team Members.
- Find the user.
- Change their role and save.
Role changes take effect the next time the user signs in or refreshes their session.
Remove access
Remove the user from the organization. If SCIM is enabled, deactivate or unassign the user in your identity provider.
Assign roles with SSO
With enterprise SSO, map identity-provider groups or attributes to Clearly AI role names (Owner, Admin, Member, and any limited roles configured for your tenant). See SSO, SAML, and SCIM.
